Minneapolis police investigate weekend stabbings at North Loop bar, northside after-hours club

Police are investigating two weekend stabbings that occurred in Minneapolis early Sunday: one inside a popular North Loop bar, and one at a northside after-hours club.

The first happened inside The Rabbit Hole sports bar off North Washington and Fifth avenues in the North Loop. Officers were called to the bar around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, where first responders treated a man for stab wounds. 

The victim was taken to an area hospital for injuries not considered life threatening. Police believe the attack happened after an argument escalated. No arrests have been made.  

The other stabbing happened just after 4 a.m. Sunday at an after-hours club off Lowry Avenue North and North Second Street in the city's McKinley neighborhood.

Police say a security guard wouldn't let two people in, and they fought him before one of the suspects stabbed the guard. He was also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Two women in their 20s were arrested "without incident" in connection to this case, police say.
