Man Pleads Guilty To Possessing 5,000 Images Of Child Porn
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minneapolis man pleaded guilty Tuesday to the possession of approximately 5,000 images of child pornography, according to the United States Attorney's Office.
Clare Richard Skjonsby, 39, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison on one count of possession of child pornography.
Skjonsby was a target of Operation Thin Ice, which was a national law enforcement initiative that targeted subscribers of a hardcore child pornography website.
Skjonsby admitted in April of 2009 that he knowingly owned items that contained visual depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
His sentencing has yet to be scheduled.
