MIA To Feature Contemporary Prints, Drawings

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minneapolis Institute of Arts will present an exhibition of contemporary works on paper by major artists this summer.

The exhibit -- "It's New/It's Now: Recent Gifts of Contemporary Prints and Drawings" -- opens July 14. The exhibit features more than 90 original prints and drawings by 60 American and European artists active during the past half-century.

Featured artists include Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Jim Dine, Helen Frankenthaler, Chuck Close, David Hockney, Robert Motherwell, Jasper Johns and Andy Warhol.

The exhibit runs through Sept. 1.
