Mauer Leaves Road Trip To Be Alongside Wife Who's Gone Into Labor
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's a tough time to be far from home for Joe Mauer as his wife, Maddie, is going into labor, according to Minnesota's Baseball Communications Director Dustin Morse.
Mauer was scratched from Minnesota's game against the LA Angels and has hopped a flight back home as the couple are expecting twins.
