HASTINGS, Minn. (WCCO) -- It will be nearly a dozen years in prison for a massage therapist who touched his female clients inappropriately.
"You know, this is a terrible thing to have to occur when you're a victim under these circumstances," said Dakota County Attorney Jim Backstrom.

Backstrom said the defendant, 62-year-old Lawrence Valencour of Minneapolis, got the maximum 11-year sentence for the inappropriate touching of six female clients at a business in Apple Valley in 2008.
"Minnesota law specifically makes it a crime for anyone who provides massage services to have any non-consensual sexual contact," said Backstrom.
Valencour will also have to register as a predatory sex offender.
