MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says an 87-year-old man is dead after a crash in Cottage Grove Thursday afternoon.

According to the state patrol, a Chevy Impala was driving southbound on Minnesota Truck Highway 95 near 70th Street South when it failed to stop at a stop sign-controlled intersection. The car then struck a Chevy Silverado, which was traveling eastbound and making a turn to go northbound on MNTH 95.

The driver of the Impala, identified as Dwayne Johnson of Oakdale, was killed.

The driver of the truck, identified as a 53-year-old Wisconsin man, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

According to the state patrol, road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
