BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — The sounds of the flute will resound in the Mall of America this weekend.

The mall is holding a flute marathon concert on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Sears Court. The Upper Midwest Flute Association is hosting the concert, with proceeds benefiting a scholarship fund for young flutists.

Flutists from beginner to professional are encouraged to come and perform. Each participant must raise a minimum of $25 to perform in the concert.

Participants are encouraged to donate any unused instruments to support the scholarship program.
