Demonstrators In Madison, Milwaukee Join Anti-Trump Protests

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Thousands of people took to the streets of downtown Milwaukee and Madison to protest Donald Trump's election as president.

The protests were similar to others around the nation, with demonstrators chanting such things as "this is not my president."

Police in Milwaukee shut down intersections and were assembled at several locations downtown, in part because of a Milwaukee Bucks game at the Bradley Center. Demonstrators remained nonviolent, though they snarled traffic.

In Madison, hundreds of University of Wisconsin students peacefully marched from the heart of campus to the state Capitol.
