Meet The Longest-Married Couple In Minnesota!
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The average life expectancy in the United States is 78 years.
That is how long a Minnesota couple has been married -- and it's the longest-lasting marriage in the state!
Meet 98-year-old Ervin Kaduce and his wife, 95-year-old Verna. The St. Peter couple has spent most of their years on a farm.
"I always knew he was going to be my husband [laughs]!" Verna said.
It seems fitting that their honeymoon was in Iowa, where they picked corn at Verna's uncle's house.
The couple says there is no secret to a long-lasting marriage, although Ervin says to never argue.
