EDINA, Minn. (WCCO) -- Surrounded by family and friends, Henry and Charlotte Martin celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

Charlotte said she was on a date with another guy when he got a little too frisky. Henry stepped in and while driving Charlotte home, they got stuck in a snow storm. You could say the rest is history.

Reaching 70 years of matrimony is no easy feat so what is their secret?

"Kiss in the morning ... and if we argue or anything, disagree, we still kiss each other," said Henry.

"And we never go to bed with an argument," said Charlotte.

The couple celebrated with about 50 guests at McCormick and Schmick's in Edina.
