MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is offering a reward for information about a man charged with murdering his wife in 2011.

A grand jury charged José Fernando Muñoz-Teran, 34, with murdering his wife, Renata Fernandez-Ramon. The murder occurred on or around October 7, 2011. On that day, Muñoz-Teran picked up their children from school and told staff he was moving to Mexico, according to the BCA.

About a month and a half later, on November 24, Fernandez-Ramon's body was found buried in Big Stone County. The death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators believe the 10 and 12-year-old children are with Muñoz-Teran.

Muñoz-Teran is 5-feet-6-inches tall, 170 pounds with brown eyes and hair. He has tattoos on his right arm and both legs. The BCA says he has connections  to Minneapolis and Ortonville; Milbank, South Dakota; and Mexico.
