Police: Adult, Infant In Critical Condition After Rollover

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One adult and an infant are in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash in south Minneapolis on Monday, police said.

The accident occurred on Portland Avenue South and Franklin Avenue South around 7 p.m. A van going west on Franklin Avenue collided with a car traveling south on Portland Avenue. The car rolled over.

John Elder of the Minneapolis Police Department said a 6-month-old child and an adult who were in the car are in critical condition. They were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. Another passenger in the car was injured, but the severity of the injuries is unknown.

The two adults in the van sustained minor injuries and were also transported to the hospital.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
