Hmong New Year Event Cancelled Because Of Dome
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A major event scheduled for this weekend at the Metrodome is being cancelled because of the roof collapse.
Organizers of the Hmong New Year celebration said they couldn't come up with a big enough alternative venue in time, so they decided to cancel.
The collapsed dome has still not been repaired.
About 40,000 people were expected for the Hmong New Year celebration.
Ticket refunds are now being offered.
