Historic Jay Cooke Bridge To Be Rebuilt For Fall
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Last year's spring melting and the subsequent floods wiped out a historic swing bridge at Jay Cooke State Park.
But on Saturday WCCO-TV learned the bridge will be back up in time for the fall color season.
The Department of Natural Resources said the new bridge will feature log rails and stiles that were part of the original 1934 bridge.
It's being paid for through federal disaster aid.
