MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A drug used to treat cancer may someday offer hope for patients living with Alzheimer's disease.
Researchers in Florida studied a brain cancer drug that includes a chemical called carmustine. Scientists discovered that the chemical can dissolve plaque in the brains of mice.
Doctors think the build-up of a "plaque-like substance" in our brains is what causes Alzheimer's disease.
