Gophers To Face Florida State Nov. 28 In ACC/Big Ten Challenge

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The University of Minnesota men's basketball team will travel to Florida State in late November for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

School officials said Monday the game will be played in Tallahassee, Fla., on Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. central time and it will be televised on ESPNU. The Gophers last played the Seminoles in the NIT Semifinals in coach Richard Pitino's first season. Minnesota won that game 67-64 in overtime.

Earlier that season, the Gophers beat Florida State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge 71-61 at Williams Arena. Minnesota beat Wake Forest in the same event in 2014 and beat Clemson last year 89-83.

The Gophers are coming off an 8-23 season that included just two wins in league play.
