Fatal Crash Halts Traffic On Highway 65 In East Bethel
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Anoka County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal single-car crash that happened along Highway 65 in East Bethel Saturday morning.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation reported that all lanes had been blocked following the crash, which happened near Viking Boulevard.
Northbound traffic was being diverted shortly thereafter, as the crash was being investigated.
On Saturday afternoon, Anoka County Lt. Andy Knotz reported that the victim was a 20-year-old man from Isanti.
Investigators said that the driver of the vehicle was going north on Highway 65, went off the road and crashed into a traffic control light. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's name was not released.
