MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 20-year-old motorcyclist died Tuesday evening following a crash on Highway 7 in Shorewood.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 7 and Eureka Road. An SUV turning onto the highway collided with a westbound motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, Parker Grant Nelson of Wayzata, died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, a 16-year-old girl, was brought to Ridgeview Hospital for treatment.
