Dayton Orders Flags Lowered To Honor Wis. Victims
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton is ordering flags lowered at state and federal buildings to honor victims of the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting.
Dayton's proclamation orders all flags lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset Friday.
The proclamation says "a terrible act of violence was committed against innocent men and women," and the victims and their families deserve "our honor, respect and remembrance."
A gunman killed six worshippers at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wis., last Sunday. The suspect then shot and killed himself after a shootout with police.
