Authorities find dead body while searching for missing woman in Twin Cities

Police in Crystal, Minnesota, say a dead body was discovered during a search for a woman reported missing earlier this week.

The city's police department said the woman was last seen on the 9300 block of Fernbrook Lane North in Maple Grove, Minnesota, around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

She was wearing navy blue nurse scrubs at the time. The Minnesota Nurses Association said she is a member and posted about her disappearance on social media.

The decedent has not yet been positively identified. The search for the missing woman has ended, and her family is requesting privacy at this time, police said. 

Crystal police say an investigation is ongoing.
