City Of Maplewood Investigates 6 Fire Department Employees

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The city of Maplewood is investigating six employees of the Maplewood Fire Department after a complaint was filed against them.

According to the Star Tribune, Fire Chief Steve Lukin and five other firefighters and medics have all been placed on leave.

The crew was called to the Good Samaritan Society nursing home on Aug. 7 to help a 71-year-old woman who had stopped breathing.

A police report said they tried to resuscitate her but stopped their efforts at the request of the woman's husband.

The woman died a short time later.
