Bemidji Teen Dies After Being Hit By Baseball
BEMIDJI, Minn. (WCCO) -- A Bemidji teenager has died after an accident on a baseball field.
The Bemidji Youth League Baseball team says 15-year-old Zacharie Schaubhut and friends got together to play a game at the Bemidji high school baseball field Sunday afternoon. Police say Schaubhut was pitching, and was struck by a ball hit by the batter. He died at the hospital.
According to the youth baseball league, it's believed Schaubhut died from an undetected medical condition.
The league put a post on its Facebook page, asking for prayer's for the teen's family and friends.
