Spring is a time for new beginnings. Something that is on a lot of to-do lists is to get fit, but changing the way you eat and exercise can be quite the feat if you're going at it alone. If this sounds like something you agree with, it might be time to hire a personal trainer to give you the motivation and personal attention you need. Here are some healthy recipes by personal trainer Kami Roth. She shares a delicious and easy healthy breakfast recipe, a green juice that incorporates many fruits and veggies and pre- and post-workout shakes.

Healthy Apple Cinnamon French Toast Muffins

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices cinnamon raisin Ezekiel Bread (found in the freezer section)
  • 9 eggs
  • 1 large red apple
  • 2 packets of Stevia
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Put eggs, cinnamon and Stevia in a medium bowl and beat.
  3. Cut the cinnamon raisin Ezekiel Bread into cubes and add to egg mixture.
  4. Cut and cube apple, then add to egg and bread mixture.
  5. Spoon mixture into olive oil-sprayed muffin pan (fill all the way to the top as it will not rise in the oven).
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until eggs have set.

Mean Green Juice

Ingredients:

 

  • Handful of kale
  • Handful of spinach
  • 3 carrots
  • 1/2 pineapple (peeled)
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 granny smith apples
  • 2 kiwis

Directions:

  1. Cut up all fruits and vegetables.
  2. Run through a juicer. Stir before drinking.

Pre-Workout Chocolate Banana Protein Shake

Ingredients:

 

  • 2 scoops Isagenix Chocolate Isalean whey protein
  • 1/2 banana (peeled)
  • 6 oz. cold water or almond milk

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a blender and enjoy 45-60 minutes before your workout.

Post-Workout Orange Dreamsicle Protien Shake

Ingredients:

  • 2 scoops Isagenix Vanilla Isalean whey protein
  • 2 scoops Isagenix Orange Want More Energy
  • 6 oz. cold water or almond milk
  • 3-4 ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a blender and enjoy 30-40 minutes after your workout.
