Minnesota Community College In Running For $1M Excellence Award
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Twin Cities school could win $1 million for being the top community college in the U.S.
Anoka-Ramsey Community College is one of 10 finalists for the 2017 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence.
The award is based on student performance, workforce outcomes, and achievements of minority and low-income students.
The school praises itself for a high graduation rate and having the lowest cost tuition and fees of any higher education institution in Minnesota.
The Aspen Institute will announce the winner next March.
