84 Face Drug Charges In St. Paul Undercover Sting
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Eighty-four people have been charged in an undercover drug operation in St. Paul.
Police say similar undercover operations have happened every summer since 2007.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the department's narcotics team focused on street-level sale of illegal drugs, like previous operations.
But police say this year's sting expanded to include the people who provide drugs to the street sellers.
More than half of the 122 felony charges were connected to crack cocaine, but they also involved marijuana, heroin, methamphetamine, prescription medicine and Ecstasy.
The operation ran April 26 to July 5.
