6 Arrested At St. Paul Park Protest

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Six people were arrested during a protest in a St. Paul park Friday night, according to St. Paul Police.

Police said officers showed up to Carty Park at 11 p.m. Friday, which is when the park closes.

Protesters were there with tents and other supplies, according to police. Camping in parks is against city ordinances.

Officers gave protesters several orders of dispersal, which were ignored, police said.

Police arrested six people. Four were cited and released. Two were taken into custody because they had been cited for similar behavior in the last 30 days.
