$500 Reward Offered In Case Of Stolen 100-Year-Old Bell
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The West Hennepin Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a stolen bell that's over a century old.
According to police, the Blymyer Norton cast steel school bell was taken from a home on the shore of Lake Sarah in late February.
The thieves took the bell, which weighs nearly 200 pounds, over the lake ice, police said.
Now, a $500 reward is being offered by the Spencer family for information that leads to the apprehension of thieves and recovery of the bell.
