4 Things To Know: Wild's Playoff Win, New York Primary & More

MINNEAPOLS (WCCO) -- From Minnesota Wild's playoff win to the New York primary, here are the four stories to know for Tuesday, April 19.

NY Primary

Voters in New York head to the polls to decide who should be their party's presidential nominee.

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump is looking to beat out Ted Cruz and John Kasich in the state -- and avoid a contested convention in July.

Democratic frontrunner Hilary Clinton is hoping a win will lead to increased calls for Bernie Sanders to drop out of the race.

1 Year Since Freddie Gray's Death

People in Baltimore plan to hold rallies and vigils to mark one-year since the death of Freddie Gray.

The 25-year-old died from injuries he suffered while being transported in a police van last April. The driver of that van was among the six officers charged in connection to Gray's death.

He's expected to go on trial in June.

Target Raising Minimum Wage

The retailer is raising the minimum wage for its workers to $10 an hour, according to the Washington Post. The pay increase follows a similar move by Walmart recently.

It reflects an improving labor market and more competition among retailers for lower wage hourly workers that gained steam in 2015.

That's when Walmart announced its plan to boost wages to $9 an hour, followed by an increase to $10 an hour this year.

Minnesota Wild Win!

The Minnesota Wild are back in the series. They now trail the Dallas Stars 2 games to 1 after Monday night's win.

The Wild's offense woke up - scoring 5 goals on their home ice. That's after only netting 1 in the series' first 2 games.

It also snapped a seven-game losing streak.

Minnesota will try and even up the series tomorrow night at 8:30 before heading back to Dallas for game 5.
