3 Children Hurt After ATV Crashes Into Building

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Three children were hurt Tuesday night when an ATV they were riding on crashed into a building in North Branch, according to police.

Authorities say the incident happened at about 7 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of Branch Manufacturing. Officers responded to a report of a crash with injuries.

When they arrived, a 3-year-old boy, a 6-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl were all hurt in the crash. The 3-year-old and the 11-year-old were taken by ambulance to Regions Hospital with head injuries and injuries to their extremities.

The 6-year-old was airlifted to Regions Hospital with head injuries, according to authorities.

Authorities say an investigation revealed that all three children were hurt when they ATV they were riding on crashed into the side of the building. The incident is still under investigation, and there is no update on the condition of the victims.

The North Branch Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Chisago County Sheriff's Office.
