Palmetto Accident Sends 1 To Hospital
MEDLEY (CBS4) -- Six people were hurt, and one 17-year-old woman was airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center, after a hit-and-run accident involving a number of cars on the Palmetto expressway tied up traffic for hours Sunday night.
Police are looking for a car they believe may be involved.
The accident stalled southbound traffic at NW 74th Street and SR 826. Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue Lt. Eric Baum said most of the injuries were relatively minor, but one person with more serious injuries required trauma treatment.
The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a red or orange Ford F150 with heavy front-end damage.
The highway was opened shortly after 9 p,m,.The names of those injured were not immediately available.
