Lauderdale Man Charged In Child Porn Investigation
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – An undercover investigation into the trading of pornographic pictures of children online has led to the arrest of a Ft. Lauderdale man.
During the course of the investigation, which was conducted by a South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force detective from the Ft. Lauderdale police department, an internet address which was sharing child pornography was tracked to an apartment in the city.
Police say the apartment, at 5621 NE 22nd Avenue, was directly across from Westminster Academy.
With a search warrant in hand, detectives searched the computers found inside Apartment #2 and uncovered more than 200 images of videos of children being sexually abused by adults.
Kris K. Brown, 36, was arrested and charged with 20 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Investigators say anyone who may have had contact with Brown to contact Detective Rob Mauro at (954) 888-1570 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
