It's unclear how much jewelry the robbers made off with after smashing through the glass but the robbery took place Friday evening at the Kevin Jewelers store at the Plaza West Covina Mall that is located right off the 10 Freeway.
Popular Beverly Grove boutique Kitson announced that the store will soon be banning masks at its Beverly Grove store due to the recent rise in masked burglaries in the area.
The suspects made off with a couple Chanel bags, employees told Reiner. It's unclear what else the suspects got away with but the vehicle they used to break into the store was left behind.
The incident lasted less than a minute before the suspects then fled the market and got into a waiting vehicle outside that sped off.
Security video showed the suspects smashing display cases and stealing jewelry while employees throw chairs at them.
Investigators do not believe that the cause of death is in any way related to the Line Fire.
