KRLD -- Whether you're looking to celebrate Cinco de Mayo or Texas country music, this is the weekend for you. Tasha Stevens tells you what's happening across the DFW area this weekend.

-- Time to get freaky people! This weekend's Texas Frightmare Weekend promises to deliver all things horror with appearances by Elvira, those Freaky The Shining Twins, Tara Reid, Neve Campbell, C. Thomas Howell, Malcolm McDowell, and many more. Check it out at the Hyatt Regency DFW.

-- The dude can act, the dude can sing and the dude can fit himself into the tightest pair of pants on the planet. See Dwight Yokum at Gas Monkey Bar and Grill's Gas Monkey LIVE Friday night.

-- If CBS's "Mom" is part of your weekly TV watching schedule, be advised. Thursday night is the show's Season Finale.

-- Chill out this Thursday evening with a little Jazz in the Atrium: A Celebration of Billie Holiday at Dallas Museum of Art. You've had a stressful week. Your coworkers are annoying. Let it all go this evening with a glass of wine and an evening of classic Billie Holiday sung by Leena Conquest. Best part -- the performance is free.

-- Fox & Hound in Arlington is teaming up with the Arlington Fire Department Random Acts of Kindness to support those in need. Thursday evening from 6 to 9, enjoy a free sampling of Fox & Hound's signature dishes, including Olympian Hummus, Drunken Chicken Tenders, Tavern Wings and Black Forest Sliders! Don't forget the cocktails, ya'll! Fox & Hound will donate 10% of sales for the entire day today and tonight to the Arlington Fire Department Random Acts of Kindness.

-- The kiddos want to cook for mama on Mother's Day, but you can't even boil water. No worries! Send them to The Junior Chef Class: Mother's Day Brunch at Williams-Sonoma (Frisco / Stonebriar) Friday night. The kids will learn how to treat their mom to an awesome brunch.

-- You saw these guys on the ACM's and now you can see them up close and personal. Check out Little Big Town at the House of Blues in Dallas Sunday.

-- Thursday means it's time for Cool Thursdays at the Dallas Arboretum. You can groove to the smooth sounds of Turnstiles, a Billy Joel Tribute band.

-- The 2015 Draft Day Watch Party is happening Friday night at The Rustic. They'll have a live feed of the Draft goings on, photos ops with Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, and live music with The Nightowls. Did I mention the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders?

-- Check out that lil ole band from Texas at Winstar Friday night. It is the one and only ZZ Top along with guitar great Jeff Beck.

Saturday night at Winstar, see a guy who has the longest Wikipedia entry I think I have ever seen. The cliff notes version -- he has published six books of drawings and paintings, and he has sold more than 100 million records, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. I don't even have time to list all the awards. See Bob Dylan at WinStar World Casino Saturday night.

-- If you are in an 80's mood this weekend, head over to the Granada Sunday evening for the Goonies and When Harry Met Sally. It's all part of the JACK FM 80's Movie Series.

-- This Saturday and Sunday in Richardson, you can see the nation's top visual artists. The Cottonwood Arts Festival is free event and features 240 artists in categories like Ceramics, Digital, Drawings/Pastels, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metalwork…you get the idea. If you dig music, they have you covered there as well. The festival also features local bands who perform the best in rock, country, jazz, blues, swing and folk.

-- Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the Fort Worth Stockyards at Billy Bob's Texas this Sunday, May 3. They'll have an indoor stage, a free outdoor stage and a rock climbing wall.

-- If you love your metal and your mariachi music, combine them with Metalachi and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with the Cinco De Mayo Fiesta at Gas Monkey Bar and Grill this Saturday May 2.

-- If you want to celebrate even more this weekend, do it with the Dallas Cinco DeMayo celebration Saturday. They'll have a big parade & festival with music, dance, and plenty of food.

-- Get your furry baby and head over to Globe Life Park in Arlington this Saturday for Bark in the Park. Those who pre-registered can dress their babies in his/her best Rangers attire, and take part in an on-field, pre-game parade around the warning track. Prizes will be awarded to the Top 5 best dressed winners.

-- Spoil your furry baby with a trip to what has to be the world's largest dog park. This Sunday's Dog Bowl at the Cotton Bowl will offer water stations and a giant "dip and sip" splash bowls to keep the babies cool. Their people can partake of food and drink as well. Local dog rescue groups, clubs, and pet related vendors will be located along the sidelines with pet products and an on-site pet adoption event. There will also be live music from The Problematics.

-- If the Renaissance period is your thing, head over to the Scarborough Renaissance Festival this weekend south of Waxahachie. This weekend is the first Live the Fantasy Weekend which means all you fans of cos-play, Marvel, Anime, Steampunk and so on will be the guests of honor. There will be family friendly fantasy based costume contests for adults as well as children's fantasy costume contests for kids 12 and under. The 35th season of Scarborough Renaissance Festival runs every Saturday & Sunday and Memorial Day Monday through May 25.

-- We hear all about cowboys, but what about the cowgirls who made a difference in the old west? The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth is the only museum in the world dedicated to honoring women of the American West.

-- A LOT of stuff going on in May at The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. National Public Garden Day, Mother's Day and Memorial Day events are set for the main garden and the Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden.

-- I hope this group's visit back to the metroplex doesn't involve any bus issues. Geez. Check out Lady Antebellum at Gexa this Saturday.

-- Get out your dancin' shoes people. The 22nd Annual Cowtown Ball is happening at Panther Island Pavilion Saturday featuring John Michael Montgomery. So put on your best western chic attire and chow down on some cowboy-style cuisine, and do some dancing as you help raise money for the American Cancer Society.

This Saturday is the day classic rockers have been waiting on for months. One band set a world record for sound -- the opening act was part of what is probably the world's first all-female rock supergroup. See The Who and Joan Jett at the AAC.
