Major Closures This Weekend At I-35W/I-820 Interchange

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Some key Fort Worth interchanges will be closed during overnight hours this weekend, as the Texas Department of Transportation moves forward on the $1.4 billion North Tarrant Express 35W project.
The weekend work will be on numerous stretches connecting I-30 and I-35W as well as I-35W to Loop 820, including some of the TEXpress lanes.
One of the biggest projects is a closure affecting the direct connector from eastbound I-30 to go north on I-35W. That's going to be blocked off from 9 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday.
Traffic will be redirected to Rosedale.
Naturally, if the weather is bad, the work will be postponed.
