Pat Caputo: Picking Sides? I'll Take The Players In The NFL's Labor Dispute

Labor stoppages have become a common occurrence in all four of this nation's major team professional sports.

And I must confess that each time in the past, I haven't had much sympathy for the players.

I've always viewed it as the ultimate "millionaires vs. the billionaires" battle. And that if anything, the players were more greedy than the owners.

Look how many people dream of playing in the major leagues or NBA or NHL or NFL.

It's not like the salaries are low and these athletes have to hold offseason jobs selling shoes or life insurance like back in the day.

You can have a relatively short career in any of these sports, and not only make a good living, but if you manage your money properly, be set for life — and your kids. Maybe even their kids, too.
