Marty Mornhinweg had just been introduced as the Lions head coach. Before he uttered a word, he placed his right hand out in front of his chest and said, in a pattern of a speech that was somewhat quirky and certainly memorable, "The bar is high. The goal of this organization now is to win Super Bowls."
Nobody in the room was laughing, but you could sense people wanting to.
The Lions? The Super Bowl?
It might as well have been Jim Mora talking about the playoffs.
