Man Dies After Intervening In Knife Attack On Woman In Warren
WARREN (WWJ) - A 24-year-old man is dead after intervening to save the life of a woman during a knife attack.
Demetrius Johnson is being called a hero after police say he tried to stop a man from attacking 24-year-old Misty Battisti in the kitchen of a home in Warren Sunday morning.
According to reports, Battisti was repeatedly stabbed by the suspect and as Johnson intervened was fatally stabbed.
Police say the accused killer, a 52-year-old man from Detroit with a long rap sheet, will be in 37th District Court Monday.
