Looking Back At The 2009 NFL Draft: Detroit Takes Top Honors For Best Draft
Before prospects even take the field, most of us are guilty of "grading" each team on how they did in the draft. While there is nothing wrong with immediately evaluating each team's draft class, a more practical exercise is to give prospects two or three seasons to prove themselves in the NFL.
In retrospect looking back at the 2009 NFL Draft, a few "hits" are now "misses" and vice versa with some players underachieving while others surpassing expectations. For example, over 20 running backs were drafted in the 2009 class, but, for various reasons, Arian Foster went undrafted.
