Fall High School Sports Return On 'State Champs!'

Autumn is in the air and so are fall high school sports around "The Mitten." This week our main event takes us to Oak Park to watch the Knights battle it out against Southfield. We'll also set, spike and score in a volleyball matchup between Southgate Andersen and Allen Park. Get ready to move those chains on the gridiron, as we'll have the highlights at the rivalry game between Walled Lake Northern vs. Walled Lake Western. Lace up your cleats and prepare to get dirty as we head to the soccer field for the Riverview vs. New Boston Huron's boys soccer game.

On a lighter note, prepare for a heart touching story from downriver. Athletics bring not only players together but entire communities, Ashley Raymond takes us to Trenton High school to a special event allowing physically and mentally impaired athletes to play football.

As you can tell this week, it's all about the athletes! In fact, Tom Markowski and Lorne Plant will go inside the huddle to talk stats in our Mr. Football Race and as always, we have plenty of highlights so you don't miss a thing. We'll race to the end zone at the Monroe vs Ann Arbor Skyline football game and we're heading westward to catch the action as Muskegon travels to Lowell.
