Big Brother 14 Episode 5: Willie's Downward Demise

America, what is happening in the Big Brother House?! I am honestly speechless with what has transpired in this 60 minute episode. There were some great moments, awkward moments, scary moments and even "MC Hammer" pants! Tonight's Big Brother even included a surprise visit from one of its executive producers. Are you ready to hear my thoughts on tonight's episode? Which by the way I've dubbed "Willie's Downward Demise."

Chilltown 3.0 Wins HOH

For the record I'm pretty sure Boogie may be a good guy outside of Big Brother, but I cannot stand Boogie's laugh or cockiness he portrays on the show. The fact that he now has Frank doing the "Chilltown" laugh makes me sick. It wasn't cool back in season two and it definitely wasn't great to see in season six. America and I can live without the laugh. , I wonder if Frank's shirt he got in his HOH room is  on sale somewhere or if CBS has trademarked it. I would wear it. Nonetheless this week is controlled by "Chilltown." I'm sad to see Dan, our Dearborn raised and Michigan representing houseguest left with only one houseguest remaining, we need to send out positive vibes and hopefully see Dan work his game strategy with the other coaches and houseguests. Maybe we'll see more coaching moments with Dan and Danielle.

It was good to see the pictures of Frank's family and his childhood as well as Boogie's nine month old son. It definitely reminds us that they have lives outside this game and possibly a reason why they're in the house competing.

Shomances Galore

Can you believe there are not one but two shomances in the Big Brother house developing already? We've got Shane & Danielle getting all flirty and then there'ss Ian & Ashley's awkward "Slop Date." I wouldn't want to invite anyone on a "Slop Date." That just sounds awful. However it was cute to see a little budding romance between Shane & Danielle. That I can believe, but what my own friends and all of America can agree, Ashley & Ian as a couple is non-existent. The date seemed to center around Ian more than it did Ashley. Remember to always make sure your date is doing more talking than you. In this case it was better Ashley and not so much for Ian.

Meanwhile, there's Shane & Danielle. The clips of them flirting and chatting about each other was a bit too cutesy. I like how Danielle wanted to clarify that if feelings were to be expressed that it should be real and not fake. A part of me wants to believe that but another part of me knows that it takes two to tango, so Danielle may be saying one thing, Shane could be saying another. I do want to see this budding relationship continue throughout the game and see how it will hinder or strengthen each of these player's game. Also I'll be the first to throw it out there Shanielle or Dane should be their couple name. What do you think? Let me know by either tweeting me with the #Shanielle or #Dane, or leave a comment below. I tried thinking of one for Ashley & Ian and it wasn't working. I do like "Beauty & the Geek." What do you think about that one? Or do you have a better name for the couple. Let me know, I'd love to hear from you!

Phat Stacks - Coaches Competition

With the impending coaches competition and  the possibility of a coach switching a teammate it was really interesting to hear how playing Big Brother this time around for Dan & Janelle. Do you think getting settled down changes how one play's the game drastically? I think it would make you fight even harder to win. I found it to also very touching that Dan gave Chelsea a shout out.

During the actual competition it was really weird to see "MC Hammer" pants. Now Ian is only a few years younger than me but he can't remember the 90s? I remember the 90s and so this chemistry student may just be book smart. It was interesting to hear Dan say that he and Danielle have now put on the persona as "the weak team." Do you agree with that? Dan also states he's throwing the competition to show he and Danielle were not a threat, but more importantly he should have played to win so he could ensure Danielle safety. Am I wrong? Wouldn't you think that would be the better strategy? Dan did make a good point that when Team Boogie, Team Janelle & Team Britney start having to vote the other team out they'll go to Danielle for a vote.

I bet Britney was kicking herself for getting too anxious and disqualifying herself from the challenge. But we all know it's Boogie who wins for not paying attention to rules and he's kicking himself the most. Chilltown 3.0 would have dominated this week. However with Boogie being too cocky as he was forgot he had to stay on the balance beam while hitting his buzzer. That gave Janelle (my predicted winner) the opportunity to save one of her houseguests or switch one of them for another player. Janelle's decision (my prediction) to save one of her houseguests from elimination and her save was (my prediction, again) Ashley. I did well predicting what the outcome would be for the coaches competition, even though it was correct due to Boogie's error in playing the game. Which I definitely feel Janelle said it best, "His ego got the better of him," and America … it definitely did.

America's Choice Revealed!

The winning choice America selected for the "Have Nots" was (my personal favorite but not my prediction) pork rinds & pudding. It had mixed reviews the houseguests. Too bad they didn't get to see the other choices, like in previous seasons they'd see a clip on the monitor. Do you think Janelle made the right selections of the "Have Nots" this week? Do you think the Blonde Alliance is over because she chose all of Team Britney's Houseguests? I wonder how Ian and Shane feel being on slop for another week. Ian is probably loving it, since he's getting the Big Brother experience and said he could be on slop the entire season.

Willie Vs The Rest Of The House

I'm not surprised that Willie began to lose sanity when he did. His paranoia got the best of him though. I was surprised that he was threatening to leave before the end of the week, seeing eviction was Thursday and what was being taped was Friday. What exactly was he going to threaten? I wouldn't have guessed complete insanity. Did anyone else catch the editing of the footage. As the fight begins we get blackout and then to a commercial. My mouth literally dropped, I wanted to see what happened next. Then once the commercials were over we did get to see what happened. From reading live feed updates, it sounded more intense than what actually was shown. It didn't look like Willie actually headbutted Joe or hit Ian or hit Janelle. The whole situation Willie created was unnecessary and Willie trying to go rouge instead of taking his coach's advice was not a smart move. In the end we hear Allison Grodner (Executive Producer of the show) come on to address the houseguests and what had all transpired. Willie's act of violence cost him from winning the game and was ejected.

I can't agree with Ian saying Willie is least dignified houseguest of Big Brother because I can remember previous seasons where other houseguests did something just as bad as what Willie did in their respective seasons. If Ian, "the super fan," can remember, the very first season he started watching (Season Two, which featured Boogie) Justin Sebik was expelled for the game for the very same thing Willie did but four days earlier. Season Four, Scott Weintraub was expelled six days earlier than Willie for being explosive about the "X-Factor" twist that season. The most recent instance being in season 11 where Chima didn't  comply with production. I think if you're coming into Big Brother to play a game, remember just that, you're playing a game, but know your actions do have consequences.

Predictions

With the explosion of Willie where does that leave nominations? I predict since Willie is ejected, it would be in Frank's best interest to nominate someone from Team Janelle to lower their numbers. So I think Frank will nominate Joe & Shane. Shane is still a threat to Frank and it only makes sense to nominate him, however his poor showing during the  HOH competition makes me wonder how good his memory can be, later on for challenges (i.e. final three competition).

Power of Veto winner, I predict to be Shane, because he's proven thathe can win from last week, it would make sense he'd fight just as hard if not harder this week so he can ensure his safety in the house. His replacement nominee would be Jojo or it could also be Danielle, to completely get rid of Team Dan.

Coach's Rankings

  1. Janelle - Her houseguests have yet to be a threat it seems to Frank or Boogie, which is good for her as she and Boogie have all three of their houseguests they started with. Especially since it's only week two. She bumps back to first for winning the Coach's competition and not letting Big Brother bribe her into changing her strategy to switch one of her houseguests for another.
  2. Boogie - Slips for not listening to the rules. Chilltown could have been dominating the beginning of this week, however gets bumped due to a technicality and then letting a fellow coach move ahead.
  3. Dan - He didn't change in his position and is sitting safe, for now. Hopefully he and Danielle can think of a game plan to win HOH next week, which I predict will be an endurance competition. Since Danielle, being a nurse, hopefully she can endure whatever it is the houseguests will have to do to win HOH.
  4. Britney - It doesn't seem like Britney has done anything right this week and it's only been a few days. Her houseguests are having an internal mutiny  and ateam member gets expelled. Hopefully Britney will also have a game plan to get herself back in this game.

Wrap up

So I really can't rank the players for this episode since there wasn't really any strategy talk or competition. For now we're left wondering what will this means for the game. Looking forward to Wednesday to see what happens next!
