There's Plenty Of Mine Waste In Colorado's Rivers & Streams
OURAY, Colo. (CBS4) - Mine waste in Colorado's waterways is not an isolated problem.
CBS4's Matt Kroschel has been reporting on the toxic mine spill into the Animas River since it happened and came across orange water in a creek near Box Canyon Park on Thursday.
The creek flows into the Uncompahgre River.
The county health department says it's pretty typical and the drinking water is not in danger.
