Plans In Works To Replace Dam At State Park

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The dam at Sylvan Lake State Park will soon be replaced.

State officials says there is no immediate danger, but the dam built 70 years ago no longer meets current safety standards.

The lake will have to be drained, and some camping sites closed.

The construction is expected to begin April of next year, and mostly be done by Oct. 2018.
