UPS and the Teamsters union have reached a tentative contract on working conditions for the 340,000 unionized employees at the shipping giant, both parties announced Tuesday.
The driver was grazed by a bullet while delivering packages in Humboldt Park Tuesday morning. CBS 2's Sabrina Franza has the story.
The contract, which raises starting pay to $21 and top pay to $49 an hour, still must be ratified by 340,000 members.
The Teamsters Union will practice picketing outside the UPS hub on Jefferson Street before a rally with local leaders.

"I think if the teamsters win a good contract at UPS, they'll then use it to go after Amazon and try to convince those workers to organize."
The last UPS strike was in 1997 and lasted 16 days.
A UPS semi-truck drove off a bridge on the Indiana Toll Road and caught fire before falling into the Calumet River.
