A 38-year-old woman has been accused of fatally stabbing a west suburban man Saturday night in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.
The woman was walking on the sidewalk at 8:55 p.m. in the 2100 block of West Garfield Boulevard when a male came up behind her and cut her head and the right side of her neck before running away, according to Chicago Police.
Hector Rivera, 58, pleaded guilty to murdering Erendira Pimentel-Hernandez in August 2014.
Officers responding to a large fight in the 2900 block of Reflection Court about 10 p.m. found 25-year-old Rudy Valdez with multiple stab wounds nearby in the 2100 block of Horizon Court, Joliet Deputy Police Chief Alan Roechner said. A black Jeep was seen speeding from the scene.
