Pritzker warned cuts to Medicaid would mean "Hospitals will close. People will lose their jobs."
Last week Gov. JB Pritzker announced his support for such legislation during his state of the state address.
The governor also wants to enact a ban on cell phones during classroom instruction at Illinois schools.
"More focus on learning will bring even greater success for kids across the state," Pritzker said.

"If these tariffs remain in place, it will jack up the price of groceries and goods, make gas more expensive, and raise utility bills," Pritzker said.
In a letter addressed to director Raven DeVaughn, Pritzker says those who participated in attacks violated the State's Personnel Code.
