The bill would stop schools from working with police to issue tickets against students for minor misbehavior like fighting or vaping.
The bill does not stop police from arresting students for crimes.
Gov. JB Pritzker is expected to sign he ban later Tuesday evening. CBS 2 Investigator Megan Hickey reports.
Gov. JB Pritzker said the bill provides "critical reproductive health protections" that he looks forward to signing into law "as soon as possible."
