A decade after George Lucas gave up on trying to build a museum along the Chicago lakefront, the project is finally complete in Los Angeles.
An earlier plan called for the Lucas Museum to be built in Chicago, but the plan ended up being called off.
Lucas and his wife, Chicago native Mellody Hobson, are paying for the museum which is expected to cost around a billion dollars.
The museum was supposed to be built in Chicago, but a conservation group caused the museum to look for a new city.
