The NFL owners and players union could return to mediation sessions as soon as late next week, according to CBSSports.com report.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NFL Players Association head DeMaurice Smith met for four hours on Monday trying to work their way to a new labor agreement.
The NFL and the players' union concluded a week of federally mediated face-to-face meetings to try and reach an deal before the collective bargaining agreement expires next week.
Say this for the NFL and its players' union: They are on speaking terms at the moment.
