Woman Accused Of Murdering Her Mother In Malden
MALDEN (CBS) – A woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of her mother in Malden.
Police were called to an apartment on Main Street Monday morning where they found 58-year-old Maria Luxama suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to Whidden Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Luxama's daughter, 24-year-old Sharlyn Savain, was arrested at the apartment.
Malden Police Chief Kevin Molis said it appears to be a "terrible act of domestic violence" and it was not a random incident.
Savain will be arraigned on Tuesday morning.
