Teen Nicknamed 'Purple Friar' Of Providence College Dies Of Rare Genetic Disease
BOSTON (CBS) -- The North Attleboro teen nicknamed Providence College's "Purple Friar" passed away Christmas Eve.
Donovan Lindo's mom said he gained his angel wings at 11:55 p.m.
Donovan had a genetic and fatal disease called Lafora disease.
In lieu of flowers, the family is donating to http://binkeezforcomfort.org to help other children with chronic illness find comfort.
The Providence College basketball team will hold a dedication to Donovan at their next home game on January 2nd.
